Transition to School

Starting school is the beginning of an exciting time for you and your child.

Starting school involves significant change for your child and your family.

In the Transition to School program at our Botany Centre, qualified Early Childhood Educators work together with parents to support the development of the skills, independence and confidence that give your child the best start at school.

The program also helps parents strengthen their own skills to support their child’s on-going development.

BFCC’s Transition to School Program

Our tailored program provides children three and a half years and over a gentle introduction to school life. This flexible program runs during school terms at the our Centre in Botany.

We help your child become an independent and confident learner, develop writing skills, learn basic mathematical and scientific concepts and social and self-help skills. Your child will become familiar with school routines, uniforms, backpacks etc.

Our sessions run for 2 hours on a weekly basis and cost $3.00 per session to support the Centre’s activities.

Call the Centre on (02) 9666 5047 to talk with one of our friendly team.
