Help make a difference in our community
Whether it’s by volunteering your skills and experience, or by making a donation, you will be helping BFCC make a difference in our local community.
Volunteering
Volunteering your time and skills at BFCC is a rewarding experience. It helps you connect with our community while you help us deliver our range of programs and services to our clients.
We value your time and expertise and in return we will provide you with training and on-going support – and promise to make you feel part of our team.
For some it’s a chance to learn new skills or gain professional experience. For others it’s an opportunity to develop a sense of purpose, belonging and increased social connections.
Volunteer roles
Volunteer roles include administrative assistant, playgroup assistant and being a member of our Management Committee.
Time commitments vary with each role, and we will work to fit in with your availability.
Our clients speak a range of languageso we encourage volunteers who speak English and another language to apply.
Volunteer screening
Volunteering at Botany Family & Children’s Centre requires you complete some mandatory checks including a National Police check and a NSW Working with Children check (which is free for volunteers). In addition, we will complete personal reference checks.
What our volunteers are saying
Working as a volunteer is an enriching experience on a spiritual and professional level for me. I am very grateful that BFCC opened the doors of its centre to me and allowed me to be part of its team, sharing experiences and learning more each day from each team member.
By participating in the playgroups I met wonderful people, discovered new skills and felt completely happy surrounded by children of different ages and reliving my childhood with them.
This experience is something that I would certainly repeat hundreds of times since the good times shared will always live in my heart.
